Lord, oh Lord my banner. You are so many things. You are sovereign, you are creator, you are personal, you are Father Son & Holy Spirit, you are all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, you are holy, you are righteous, you are gracious and merciful, and you are savior and friend. I know all of these characteristics stem from you being Love & Good. And because you are good, I have hope. I have hope for your children calling out your name. I have hope for a better future full of love, mercy, grace & forgiveness. Jesus, my Lord & my love, my world is hurting, my nation is hurting, my people are in anguish. But I know that you are good. I know your thoughts & plans are so far beyond anything I can see or understand. Where are you, Lord? Where are you that your people are resorting to violence & pain-inflicting & lies & sorrow? Please, do not let your people, your children, drown in the sorrow the evil one has brought. Thank you, your gospel is being spread! Continue to unite your people; your people that cross cultures, races, occupations, families, borders, socioeconomic status, in ways that surprise us & bring us joy. I know you will always have victory because it is not a battle of flesh and blood that is against us. And I know that you have gone before us, & you have defeated those who are against goodness & righteousness... you. Lord, you are worthy to be praised, ad so we sing your praises today & tomorrow & forever. We also cry out in anguish as David did. We cry out for injustice & confusion & pain & suffering. You are a God of love, and what I'm seeing in my city, in our nation is not love... for the most part! I also see your goodness & love! I know you are at work. Heal our land, my Lord. Heal these hearts & melt them for your glory & your goodness. Open our eyes, my God, to the way you see us & the way you love. Give us your eyes to see & love those around us well. Help us look to you, awesome creator of the universe.

Amen
