A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

This review is straight to the point and in short - I'm a fan. After two years, I decided to re-read this masterpiece, and I was not disappointed once again!

Harkness has a way with words as well as genre, characters, imagery, and emotion in her writing. Truly beautiful work bringing together the different worlds of alchemy, literature, science, history, the mystical, and relationships as complicated as only family is. Thank you for bringing me into worlds I haven't known right inside a modern world of history, arts, and science I am both familiar and quite unfamiliar with.

There are weak points in this book, for sure, but I'd rather not dwell on those in favor of how much I enjoyed the experience of re-reading it.
